My husband and I have 7 children and 14 grandchildren. We only have one child at home now and usually have grandchildren running around. I believe very strongly that a dog is essential in a child’s life. Poodles are friendship without judgment when they need it the most. Yes, it is a lot of work, but the return has made my family whole.
After I was done raising my children, I decided it was time to start our dog family. I have always loved dogs, but wanted to wait until after I was done raising kids so that I could devote the time it takes to help these wonderful dogs stay balanced. I researched long and hard to find the right dog for my family and was instantly attracted to the standard poodle for it’s temperament and non-shedding, hypoallergenic coat but was hung up on the size. Miniatures were too small and fragile looking (remember my 11 grandchildren?) and standards were great, but a little too big for the smaller kids.
I continued to research to see if I could find a breeder who bred athletic looking, smaller standard poodles. While researching, I came upon Kleins or Moyen Poodles. Kleins are recognized in Europe but are registered as “standard” in AKC. Their height is usually 16-22 inches at the shoulder. After coming up with nothing as far as breeders went, I decided I would buckle down and provide others with what I was searching for. And Voila! Whisper Valley Poodles. I hope you are happy with what we have worked so hard to provide, and also that you have found, with us, what you are looking for.
